ABOUT
Stella Carr
Stella is the chief consultant and business owner at 1st in
Books. She is a qualified associate of the Institute of Public
Accountants and a Registered BAS Agent.
This means that she is required to maintain up to date
knowledge of the Australian taxation system as it applies to small business account keeping, for example:
Bookkeeping practices that comply with current accounting principles
Preparation of accounting reports for both the business owner and their accountant
Payroll setup and processing
Superannuation
Lodgement of Tax File Declarations
Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements
Preparation and lodgement of Payment Summaries
Preparation and lodgement of Taxable Payment Annual Report (for the building industry)
All of these activities are requirements the small business owner is faced with and for which there can be
huge repercussions if not dealt with in a timely and accurate manner. Stella’s goal is to ensure that this is
not a burden to her clients.
Stella is also an experienced trainer in computer systems, having worked in this role for 25 years. She has
developed a training style that suits trainees of all levels of experience, both with individual trainees and
groups of people.
